The Scars You Leave

The Scars You Leave

A Poem by Scarlet Raine

I cry under the willow tree
beside the blackened rose
If you're lost, you can be found
So where are you, my love?

The rose is dead, as it's always been
but I can hear its pleas
Singing a broken melody
it's weeping for you, it seems

I'm asking the same question, see
My eyes are spheres of glass
My heart is a lost and angry place
Remembering sins of my past

It seems my tears are finally gone
And the rose is dry and rough
But still its pleading cries continue
Singing, 'Where are you, my love?'

How was the rhyming? I really suck at that.

Rhyming was so-so, but better than some I have read.
I love it! Keep writing!
