Late Night

Late Night

A Story by ScarlettWings
"

Something I wrote a while ago, underneath covers.

"
Late at night
When the doors are closed
The lights off or dimmed
Soft snores heard
Snuggled up in my comfy comforter
My mask falls off
And my inner feelings; dreams; desires run rampage in the emptiness of my room
Suffocated in the ever dominant Lone
She delicately claws her way out of my heart
The sirens are activated
Soldiers of tears run out one by one
Trying in vain to defeat Lone
Calls for backup when she strikes true to the Heart.
It is too late.
Mother Sleep shushes them all, lulling them to sleep. The ever patient Mother Sleep whom does her duty every night when the hills are soaked in gunpowder and the treasury exploited.
She sighs as she once again, wishes a Hero to come and tame the fearsome Lone whose dark shadow had befallen the land.
My fields.
