The Truth of Love

The Truth of Love

A Poem by Scarlett

All I can do now is lie here

In my drying tears and my fear

Waiting for a shining light

Is it the moonlight?

Will it come in a fortnight?

Will my heart ever take flight?

All I can say is that I love you

And I never want to say adieu

For you are the one I dream about

And you are the one I live without,

But my heart never does doubt

The truth of the love within.

Amazing poem! I love the rhymes chosen. Some of the words are just so powerful! I love you you show the simplicity of loving someone and not caring about anything else in that one moment. Keep up the awesome work!
