Sand in my EyesA Poem by Scarlett RaeMetaphorical poem about life
Life is a desert.
Millions of sand grains are moments merely passed. The wind blows sand around and our past catches up to us. Everything becomes sandy and dusting off memories is hard. The powerful sand storms are flashbacks of damaging times. The unexpected and irregular storm is why I cry, sand in my eye. The desert wind is impacting, it carries the good times, and the bad. Beautiful dune formations are shaped into the person I am right now. One grain of sand is so insignificant it is only one second in my life. It is really easy to lose a grain of sand, and forget a second when its gone. Sand forms into beautiful configurations that are moments in life as an entirety. Weightless sand drift by the wind creating life to change in ways unforeseen. The grains of sand are not insignificant, they are the seconds that brought us here. Carried by storm sand travels forward to a new state, and that is right now. Life Is A Desert. © 2015 Scarlett RaeAuthor's Note
