Alone not Lonely

Stages of Life

I look around this very room with interest
Remembering each special moment
All these things have a place in my heart
I keep them, but I don't have to
The memories will never leave me
I feel the presence of many loved ones
I am alone but not lonely.

The city is new and intriguing to me
My eyes are wide with curiosity
I carefully explore the possibilities
The smells and sounds are crisp
People all around that I long to meet
Discovery of euphoria is a relief
I am alone but not lonely.

Sitting in a quiet restaurant thinking
There must be bigger things than me
I hear the intimate sound of laughter
As I look, I see a couple in love
The sign I was searching for, received
Freely I walk with a different purpose
I am alone but not lonely.

I find myself admiring the past again
In the present I yearn to find the meaning
Every life is different and confusing
My life should consist of absolute living
Now aching for love to start blooming
I realize the bigger picture is now
I am alone but lonely.

The most important time is now
I reach forward to attain my destiny
Love is in my eyes, I can not blink
Two souls that are meant to be
Passion that everyone can see
I feel the presence without him here
I am alone but not lonely.

Changing moments make the present
New is my world, and the baby's too
My precious one the world is yours
Unconditional love from Mom and Dad
Growing and learning together is our goal
Outside alone, joy, beauty, life I see
I am alone but not lonely.

Time goes too fast and too suddenly
Seasons pass by and people perish
Things we can not help, only accept
The sweet times I know by heart
Familiar smells revive the past
Kept close in my heart, my love
I am alone but not lonely.
