A poems not just a poem

A poems not just a poem

A Poem by Scarlett D. Freeman

To most a poem is just a poem, simple words to rhyme,
For us it's more than that, its our way of life, we struggle, we falter, we write about our strife,
Sometimes it's random things we think in our head, funny things we see or something someone said,
For us inspiration can come at any time, anywhere even out of the very thin air,
Lyrical rhymes we use, when we put pen to paper every time,
Majority of people don't even know, something simple as this, helps save even our own life,
To get it out of our head, off our chest, things that need to be said,
How therapeutic, healing and benevolent it can be,
I for one can contest, that it has been for me,
Thank you, For I am blessed you taking the time, to read each line and every rhyme, so I hope you've enjoyed,
me writing my fleeting emotion, with a tear or two,
maybe you were able to connect, share it with a friend, maybe read this Journey again,
If so, I hope it's soon.
