This Tainted Life

This Tainted Life

A Poem by Scarlett Letter

In This Tainted Life

There are Twists and Turns

Stabbing My Back Like a Knife

Until Someone Learns

Why is the Future so Dark

Why Cant I See What it Beholds

I Hear The Call Of A Dying Lark

The Pieces of Paper of Time Unfolds

I Now See The Truth Behind All The Lies

No Matter How Hard Someone Tries

It Can Never Lay Hidden

Our Future We Began To Weave

But All People Do Is Desieve

Sadly Though All You Can Do Is Try To Believe

And In A Sunken Sigh You Give One Last Heave

Your Life Seems So Dark and Dim

Things Bubbling Up To The Rim

Time Goes Slow or Sometimes Just Flies Right By

Looking All Around, Down Low Or Way Up High

Life Somtimes Just Stops

and You Dont Know Why

Everything Just Freezes and Plops

Sometimes You Just Wanna Cry

What Has This World Come Too

Where You Can Only Trust Just You

Where Love Can Always End

And Your Future Never Can Mend

Nothing Goes As Planned

Your Heart Left In The Sand

Someone Always Standing Over You

Always Showing Up On Cue

Waiting There In The Dark

Always Waiting For Their Mark

Stabbing Your Back Like A Knife

This Once Perfect But Now Tainted Life

The emotions here ooze with pain but are balanced with true insight, tempo is perfect and just love it overall :)
