In a Flash

She was my best friend, but I couldnt help but fall in love with her. She was beatiful and sweet and sensitive. Sadly she didnt see me the same way, or at least I didnt think so. She lived next door and I always watched her as she played in the back yard, or dance in her room when she thought no one was looking. I watched her date other guys and fall in love and get her heart broken more times than i could count. Sometimes i just wished that maybe if she just loved me, i would never break her heart, i would never hurt her. Then one day she tells me about this guy, a guy she met at the movies. She told me he was amazing and tough, and sweet to her and he was in a gang. The last part got me worried though. I made sure to keep a close eye on her after that, she grew mad that I was always so close to her but i was worried for her saftey, then one day she grew infuriated and yelled at me to stay away from her, that I was no longer her friend. She then stalked off to go meet her boyfriend. From then on I stayed away from her, I still worried, but I stopped trying to keep her safe. She could take care of herself i often told myself. I cried myself to sleep for about a week before i finally began to get over loosing her. Early one morning I heard a car start in her yard and look out my window, her parents are hugging her and kissing her and waving goodbye. Once they leave she rushes inside, and lockes the door, but 6 minutes later another car pulls up, but i could care less about who she invited over. Suddenly i hear yelling and shouting and then a gun shot. "Anna!" her name escapes my lips as i rush over to her house and burst through the front door. I quickly evaluate whats happening, when i see Anna lying down on the ground tears streaming down her face, blood pouring down her cheek. Suddenly, something flys at my head and I duck down reaching up and grabbing for whatever it is. I yank it out of the guys hand and hit him in the stomach with it. then i throw it down and rush over to Anna. Cradling her in my arms i rocked her back and forth as she hugged me. "Anna" i whisper "I Love You!" i murmur into her ear. She looks at me and nods, then I hear another gun shot and look down, red blood begins to coat my shirt, Anna begins to scream my name, over and over again. I place my hand delicatly on her cheek and smile up at her as she screams "You cant leave me, I Love You Too, I Always Have, Please, Please Dont Leave Me!" My vision begins to blur as i hear sirens blare in the background, and I watch the shadow of the guy who shot me bolt from the room, the last words I heard where Anna whispering through tears into my ear "I Have Always Loved You" Then i blacked out!
