Snow

Snow

A Poem by SimplyDisastrous
"

I hate snow...

"

Snow

~

I bet a thousand deaths have been

Hidden in the snow

Bloody footprints cast the white surface

In a perfect row

And who’s to say that the slush doesn’t have

Secrets, too?

They discreetly cover their victims,

Silently bidding them adieu

So, why should we trust this disgusting,

Beautiful thing of a dream?

There’s more than one way to muffle

The sound of a scream.

~

The Dean at my school asked me to write a poem which has the tone of someone who hates snow. Because I don't like snow, and he doesn't like it, either. Did I do a good of portraying that? Tell me.

I didn't understand the hatred of snow at first, I saw it from a "what lurks beneath the depths" view, but when you get to "why should we trust" it became apparent. Very good write!

You did an Excellent job portraying that. Great poem, and you are right in what you question. Great work.

You did more than a good job portraying the evils of snow. You moved the poem from beyond the realm of uncomfortable and cold into something much darker. Great job. As for the hating snow, New England is getting hit pretty hard this year.

Hey. I used to be on here alot when I was 15. Now, not so much. I'm 18 now and I'm not nearly as depressing as I used to be, but still depressing enough. Message me and feel free to read my old poems... more..
