Mary louA Poem by SimplyDisastrousMary Lou A beauty, she is With her pale,
pale skin And her ruby red
lips Her silk spun
blond hair And her piercing
green eyes. God knows why
she’s lying in The middle of the
street like that. Sleeping? From my
place at The window, her
chest doesn’t seem To be moving at
all. Mary Lou An independent
soul Earlier, she had
told me she was Going to find a
job today. I had wished her
good luck And gave her a
ride to the desired Location in my red
truck. Mary Lou, An angel, she be With her positive
attitude And her
encouraging ways If I look close
enough, I can see That a pool of
blood is seeping From her head and
forming a Crimson cloud on
the gray pavement Poor Mary Lou Never had a chance. There will never
be another lady ‘round Here quite like
her. © 2010 SimplyDisastrousAuthor's Note
