The importance of love

The importance of love

"

Love is one of the few things I can't live without.
Without people to admire me, whisper sweet nothings in my ear,
I am nothing.

I can't sleep without love; eat without love, breath without love.
It's the reason why I'm so clingy, and possibly because I'm so vulnerable,
Easy manipulated, easily broken, self conscious and all the usual crap teens
Go through day after day, month after month, year after year.

Love is the reason most people commit suicide and homicide.
They don't get enough love and attention so they try to find an easy way out,
Or something to distract them, not something constructive, something that'll
Hurt others, something that'll make others feel their pain. They get thrills of watching
Innocents crumple in agony, because they know it's the pain they feel, or used to feel.

Love is the reason my heart sinks when someone hurts my feelings. There's a sudden jolt
Of loss and desire, as my insides crumple in on each other , one by one, piece by piece,
When someone doesn't want to talk to me, avoids me, or when I'm rejected. I feel distant and faint.

There is something missing in my life. And it's Love.
I haven't enough love in my life. Sure, I have people that love me
But I crave for more of it, starve for it, desire it.

If I fail to gain the right amount of love in my life, I don't know what I'll do.
I once had a thought: If I happen to not get the goal I want of getting all the
Love and affection I want, that's where the knife in the kitchen comes in,
That's where the "sleeping" pills in the bathroom cabinet come to good use.

But, It's just a thought, a suggestion given to me by a small voice In the back of my head,
I doubt I'll actually do it. After all, we can't all get all the love and affection we want, right?

Along with love, comes a lack thereof. One shouldn't be so dependent on love of others. The most important love is the one you give to yourself.

Your words are very powerful. I wonder, though - what is the perfect amount of love one should receive? Once again, well done.
