A Bittersweet LoveA Poem by Margarette“Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets.”I hope we can turn back time And redo all the decisions we've made Erase every mistake we've done And lay down with one another still
Until that time when we are all ready To accept what lies ahead of us Please, make those precious moments last forever Don't let it go to waste
I should have held your hand You should have reached out to me We should know each other's feelings We should have never said goodbye
Time has passed since then We have not seen each other so well Just a glimpse would have been okay But the thought of greeting you seems so far away
Winter's fast approaching Would this end up a sad ending? Cold and alone here we are Sitting by the fireplace knowing we're not fine
I should have called you You should have soothe my fears We should have made it until the end We should have never said goodbye
This mess we've both made Tragic and unexpected it is Both dying from agony and suffering Which could never had happened
if we should have just said “I love you” © 2013 MargaretteAuthor's Note
