A Wicked Love

A Wicked Love

A Poem by Margarette
"

How long until I find the strength to break this love curse?

"

There are times

When we wish to change ourselves

We try and try again

And we know that we can't

I continue to live

Where the storm never stops to exist

Here lies my hope

That the sun would come tomorrow

Tears overflow on my face

My heart is trembling with fear

I cannot fathom such turmoil

I must reconnect that vow

Press the back of memories

Regress through the past

Until a gentle song floats in the air

And the darkness unveiled along the way

The light of the moment

Give me back the chastity of forgiveness

I will live with you and be your guide

To the path of everlasting care and love

I want to share a future with you

I like to see the rising sun together

I need to give you what you've lost

I have to be there for you

The relentless promise you offer

Courageous acts display in front of me

As I go back to when we last met

The place where my broken future awaits

I will not run away now

I must face and follow what I have to do

Gone are the days where I live

In monochromes of feelings and desires

The sun rises in the east

The wind blows gently around us

A clear blue sky lies above

As we share our last kiss

I'm not ready to let you go

In hopes of keeping you mine

I let my jealousy ahead of my conscious mind

And stab you in the heart repeatedly

I rock your body close to me

Bathing myself with your viscous, luscious blood

Your blue eyes are perfect for my collection

To reconnect that lost vow I've had

Soon, pieces of parts will gather

Into completing this resurrection of mine

My true love, my first man

The only one who can stand amidst the storm with me

You'll have to wait for me

To end this suffering of yours

The ultimate spell to give you life once more

I guarantee I’ll bring you back

These lines really made the sadist in me giggle with delight. I truly enjoyed the poem in its entirety, but this stanza in particular was my favorite. An excellent write.

Conggratulations to me. I know a real poet.
In your poem you tell a story of love. The love
of your first real man. You make many poetic
observations of which I am incapable of comment.
You are a 'real' poet and I can only appreciate the
majesty and beauty of your words.
Thank You,

Gripping and inspiring poem. So many emotions and images I can relate with, and it is just a great story that you put in poem form. Keep on writing, friend.

In the second line of the second stanza, I think a better word for stop would be 'cease', just because I think it might make the flow a little better.
At first I thought this poem was about a person disliking themselves, but then I continued reading and now I think maybe because of the use of 'vow', that this might be a marriage that is ending. Either way, the title of this fit right to point! Great job! :)

A powerful tale my writer's friend. The strong description made me read the poem a second time. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for the excellent poem.
