Until Then...Goodbye

Until Then...Goodbye

A Poem by Margarette
"

The world underestimates me. I will prove you wrong.

"

Where are you now?

I’m just right here

Where are you now?

I might just follow you

Confronting this reality

I have an ominous feeling

Frightened and scared of tomorrow

I want to hide this flaw

This blindness of mine

Can never be cured

It has caused me your freedom

That I will never forget

You were always with me

Wherever I go, whenever I want

You should have said no

Then I’ll let you go

I tried to pretend

I have forgotten all about you

And sink into the bottom of a sea of memories

But such feelings never disappear

Back to that room

Time keeps floating by

Though the ticking sound has stopped

The piercing of my soul commences

I would call your name

While looking at the pictures

That we have shared together

Two people in love ending in tragedy

If I had heard the cry of your heart

If I had bore thoughts of you at that moment

If I had even cared for you at that time

Would you still leave and not say goodbye?

Where are you now?

I’m staying here

Singing you a love song

Will my voice reach you somewhat in the sky?

Do I have to make a step forward

And accept the present?

Because I know that day will come

Where “Goodbye” remains uncalled for us

Where are you now?

I’m just right here

Where are you now?

I’m looking for you now

Author's Note

Margarette
Whatever you go through, it all makes your stronger. No matter how many tears, or how many screams, or whines. Even when you think, you're positive it's all making you weaker, and tearing you down from the inside. But it never does. It only prepares you for the future.

Difficult decisions to be made that hurt, will also heal and make you stronger. Easy to say, but not so easy to be in. Liked this very much.

So very true. What doesn't kill you truly does make you stronger, to use a cliche. No matter how many goodbyes, heartbreaks, loss, or obstacles you may endure, you become stronger in the end. Nicely written
