Black Rose

Black Rose

A Poem by Scandalous
"

A poem from '90 - when I was still a teen!

"
The black rose stands alone.

Piercing black thorns pierce the heart of her lover.

Black roses kill the fire that burns.

Pure hatred only left to mourn.

The black rose falls all who are mighty,

And tramples on those who are weak.

The black rose stands alone.

Piercing black thorns tug at your skin,

And the thorns pierce the heart of her lover.

Lovely detail in this, yes kinda of reminds me of teenage love how fragile and powerful it can be at the same time.Good work :3

ode to heartbreak, the reader gets a powerful impression of death taking
revenge, the black rose, a lover scorned, suffering in the moment,
lashing out anger, such is the throes of angst, you capture the passion
with a sense of conviction that really brings the words to life.
dark, mysterious and beautifully envisioned, loved it :)

lot of anger depicted in the poem. Dark need not necessarily be bad. good write:)

Darkness may come from a black rose. I like the way you enhanced the story with examples of how the black rose can turn things good into darkness. Thank you for the excellent poem.
