As Far As Time Goes

As Far As Time Goes

A Poem by Scandalous

You shoot, falling out of the sky
You’re there, once more
Then slowly you dry.
Patience, is trying not to cry.
You’ll smile, I’ll laugh.
The clock, ticking close bye.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
I’m holding on, you know?
Only on your behalf.
How precious our memories may be.
Just staring up, it’s you and me.
Play games, small child play
If only you could truly see…
So as far as time goes
You're going again.
No time to say good-bye
It's hard, you know?
Watching your loved ones die.
You shoot, falling out of the sky
You’re there, once more
Then slowly you dry.
Patience, is trying not to cry.

You wrote on a hard topic. You did it with care and kindness. Hard to lose the people we love. We learn lost at a young age and accepting will never be easy. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

The repetition in the first and last stanzas is good. I'm not sure if I would have gone as far as the whole stanza maybe just the last lines but It works definitely. I like the recurring time theme too.
