Exploding Rainbow Horizons

Exploding Rainbow Horizons

A Poem by Scott Lee

Do you want me to tell you what I see when I look into your eyes?

I see the moonrise above Ireland Landscapes

I see a wild thing cut from a slice of magnificent creation

beyond this world yet surrounding it with everything essential to life.

Do you need me to tell you what I see when I see your face?

I see an unpredictable ocean swaying on whims of possibility

A lighthouse guiding ships home-

skylines bleeding beauty on scar-lines...

Do you want me to tell you what I feel when you kiss me?

I feel rainbows exploding in Ireland,

a flash of colors making love to stars, then imploding and carried away on interstellar winds

that eventually form rings around planets,

you pull me in your orbit and encircle me like a pack of wolves on Saturn...

desperate and wild I want to attack,

like a lone tiger facing Fire

you slay me with icicles, gorgeous but cold to the touch,

I see you don't want to trust anybody and I understand-

if there's 1 thing I understand it's that- but I want you to run with me anyway,

and dance the world away,

dance it all away and vanish-

an impossible dream that cuts me like your exploding rainbow horizons..........
