Know Now

Know Now

A Poem by Scott Lee

I know it is there
But I cannot speak it

I always knew
But then came doubt
Like the whole ocean turned to storm-

Wiping you out
But as it turns out
You can never be destroyed.

Something sacred
Feeling with my heart
Too big to measure
Not just jumping out from
All boxes but crushing them.

Know now

Knowing hard voice cruelty
For so long trapped like a prisoner in sandwiched mind.

Know now
Nothing as more beautiful than
You
I lie helpless in euphoria but I have no words to do it justice.

Digging here
Under
The
Feeling
Of
Something more.

Know now

Knowing you changed it all

Born here
In total whiteout

No memory of the memoir
I had to fall
To remember
Who I was
To fall back into the page
Become a flowing sentence that never ends.

No clear cut
Way to see

A faint call
Heard in the battle
Strangely human

To be so lost
Knowing still
Another part that is not.

Fighting tooth and claw to hang on.

Not sure of anything real anymore
My break out
Gradually hopeful and hopeless

Not understanding the quakes and tremors,

The immortal side of soul

Knowing less

Than before
But digging for recollection

Knowing more
Than what I thought
To be real.

Walled in by limitation
And the Night Stalker
In my head

Knowing nothing more than
The vast emptiness of evil

And the strange light of mystery
An indescribable thread of love
Connecting to one universal being of energy.

With a heart beat walking outside of prison
Dangling down a rope
Sometimes climbing up for a peek.

Knowing the expanding truth of dashing sparks ablaze inside

Igniting signals not ignored

You came by stealth
Entered nameless
Through my poor heart
Lifted it higher than sky
I know it is there
But I cannot speak it

Too immense for words

Know now

From before birth
Some ancient history
To remember

Know more
Now
Something weight less
And heavy on the fringes

I lie helpless and full of waves
Waiting for silence
To speak.

Know now
both world's
Seperate
But the same

Know now
Everything
Clear
For travelers

Go out
Seek it
Come back
With something new

Vast enough for galaxies
Small enough to fit
Here
In the broken heart
Of this world

Everything could change
If everyone could love with
This majesty.

Know now

You
Living in the core of my Apple

But I cannot
Name
Or
Speak
It.

There is something tremendously deep in this piece. As I read I am reminded of God and the power of love. It is like the speaker in the poem has been a lifetime trying to climb out of the darkness and though he/she knows there is something beyond the darkness is unable to say it. Beautiful!
