ONE WAY

ONE WAY

A Poem by Scott Lee

Everywhere else
I come undone
Crooked legs walking off the earth
Nowhere is the place to be
A one way street headed into traffic
All the horns and sirens stirring for subtle or hostile reactions.

Everywhere else plays the rotten, candy a*s beats
Forcing eyes and hands to dig underground,
Search my vehicle
Hands in the air
My CD goes undetected
Plays loud only in
Wilderness and basements.

Buy me a one way ticket to Etheria. The people are telepathic and everything known to feel oh so tingly and different.

Angels always ride for free
And there's no money to be paid out to the master scammers delinquent
puzzle hustle- blown out disaster blaster schemes.

Get me outta here

This place is beautiful
But the scene is dirty
And catastrophic
Nothing feeds my soul
Everywhere else feels shackled
Except underground
Where the way to silence
Brightens
And
Footsteps prowl beyond the coffins
I heard them
Dancing back to life
I caught the glimpse
Of old friend's voices
Calling my name beyond the grave.

I want a vacation
A one way ticket to total bliss and freedom
I'm too sensitive for low, tilted mindsets
It strips the sterling silver off my good nutrition
It steals my gold when
Everywhere turns up empty
And the clowns all disappear
Everthing inside
Turns disabled
And
There's no reason for such madness
No clear method to justify the means
I cracked my head on ice and thunder
Slipped away to breaking loudly
I felt the silence pull me back.
Retract my bucket full of rain
Sip on muddy waters like 3rd grade antics
Ditch school to climb a mountain,
Let's
Get to other places
Watch a movie that we will always remember
Let's Go buy candy bars
And catch turtles
For brief moments
Then
Release them back to freedom
I'll watch bridges being built
Between the unspoken bonds
Of our friendship
Unbreakable and powered proudly.

I'll listen silently to your story
And watch the fog bank hug the mountain
I'll run away with you
To other, calmer pastures
And dance away the madness.

I feel a catapulting drive
To fly above the castles
Burn a blunt in mid air flight
And
Laugh forever
Into nowhere.

Thank you again. Was it too vague or confusing?

G'morning... welcome to WC.

I listened and put your thoughts in my own perspectives. Now I'm pausing and thinking of what I heard.
