More Powerful Than Beyond Belief

More Powerful Than Beyond Belief

A Poem by Scott Lee

Running blind into bricks
our mistakes grew real
after seeing our blood flow free.

We swim in the Nile
during plagues to watch it all go down.

Our Odyssey lurks in savage hunts-
our desire, too mean to even burn
roams beyond witch-hunts and dark controlling, worldly fantasies of global domination.

Our desire to experience it all and head toward Polaris flew like fireflies to our hearts, lighted us up like Fourth of July with our feet in the water.

We floated in Billabong,
friendship fitting perfect like tongue and groove.

The sight of petunias and falling stars
drives curiosity to shimmer and stick
to endless wonder.

We saw summer fields
get polished with Ice and we skated fearless
into frozen today's and tomorrows.

TNT blasted in our veins
we became desensitized to parental tongue lashings and beatings.

Whole mountain sides crumbled on our shoulders
we hurled boulders from our thoughts and penetrated eleven other Rivers
in eleven different worlds with our gigantic splashes.

We knew there was something incredible inside us
even if Everybody bogged us down with labels and names.

We cared not for bank accounts or titles.

We left the business world to the blind unbelievers.

Let us run wild into freedom
please take our hands
she and only she will kindly receive us.

We have no use for time.

Give us deep lakes and timber.

No time for Timocracy and foolish idols.

Let us time warp back to Germany and save 6 million lives from wrongful execution.

Let us play in tiger lilies,
run through night thunder and return home
a thunder-bolt ready to crash fire
and thrash chaos.

Our rebellion against tyranny presented itself early
we threw a monkey wrench into machines that wanted to take away our souls.

We thrived in exploration
even if we saw our skin hanging from thorns and thistle.

Thick as thieves with no time to think and drown in the wasted thoughts of the dead
who run it all with blind interpretations and thin skinned lies burning like demons through our heads

There against

we leap beyond the wall
our panting breath longing to breathe in this heroic, summer night
full of alligators and Milky Way reflections.

Wide lakes became our oracle and told us to ignore the nasty illusions, Love is all there truly is.

Lupine sounds in the forest made us adapt and grow claws
now we are just as strong
more powerful than beyond belief.

Our thoughts race now
beyond Oracle Lakes
to a great frontier from
where we all were born
and some day will return
to a place where all is light
but still can be found today
raging in the heart.

This poem is breath taking. Just, wow. I love it. "TNT blasted in our veins, we became desensitized to parental tongue lashings and beatings" is my favorite line. Well done :)
