Sky-Jack My Heart

Sky-Jack My Heart

A Poem by Scott Lee

Sky-Jack my heart

and

fill it

with the

savage storm of you.

Rain down black bullets

and make me suffer more

hollow me out

and let my hunger be a ravenous, city rat crawling through walls,

scaling stairs, riding the edge of starvation

 like

an invisible

homeless man

who only walks the city at 3 a.m.

restless as a one man army

fighting tyranny with graffiti art

hoping to catch fire to every brainwashed person alive.

Sky-jack my heart

and

let

savage

thunder

be

my

defiant

scream,

in

the

lonely

corners

of your cold

and

 heart-less dark-

give me something new.

 Strangle my dreams

cradle my vengeance

use this dirty city

for the pages

of

every

misunderstood

misfit

mystic

out there

treading alone

through

the

savage storm of the

war thrashed world.

Sky-Jack my heart

pour your light

down

between

the

black battleships

of Gigantic and Intimidating Clouds

and

stir

my

hunger again

in the home made stew

of your delicious pot.

If now and then we encounter pages that explode, pages that wound, sears, tears, groans, and curses, know they came from a man with his back up, a man whose only defenses left are his words, and his w.. more..
