Ice And Violet

Ice And Violet

A Poem by Scott Lee

  YOU DO NOT

    realize

   how You bore into me

   with

    a

    Large, cruel Auger.

Bad blood brings no balance.

  Take me to the backwoods

and let me hear the bag pipes play.

The atrocity of what you've been through

sent your desperate cobra racing through cobwebs

    headed for cobalt blue waters.

YOU remind me of a midnight floe

  drifting in moonlight entanglement

  between Ice and Violet.

  I only hope for healing

they try to coax us into submission

but what they do not see from our past

is the very strength that made us.

How many violent boots came clunking up and down those

  dreaded stairs?

I can't count the wishes of our prayers vanishing into Aurora Borealis.

O' Lord give us cooler connections by the river.

Your Austere eyes only turn to fleece

when our hearts flick and float down

  peaceful, fearless waters.

Forget about the artless attacks

made by your own cruel Giant

  You secretly stored away

in the attic of your cold Palace.

All your silence turns audio contagious

and You cannot hold back the heart of your song.

Every flow follows adrenaline in burning blood.

Who is moved by this awesome, overwhelming Avalanche of Feeling?

Invade my Palace and kill the Giant.

All I want to hear is contagious songs

rushing down to me to shine

through my soul with Ice and Violet.

If now and then we encounter pages that explode, pages that wound, sears, tears, groans, and curses, know they came from a man with his back up, a man whose only defenses left are his words, and his w.. more..
