Sliced By Ink

Sliced By Ink

A Poem by Scott Lee

steel tongue warrior
 struggles

to interpret tribulation

his veils
sliced by ink

a growing silence
the weight of Earth
disquiets him

his pathway to the peak is dangerous and steep
nobody can catch him
seeking wanderer escaped

black flags raised high in his eyes
low man smashed beneath it all

If mist could be his Apostle
it would blanket the Earth with Truth
and be rewarded instead of crucified.

steel tongue warrior
trapped behind enemy lines
denuded and razed
author of War
believer and digger of truth

What savage hell fire flailed across your heart
when the beatings ripped open your veins
and the
drums
of
REVENGE
crushed 'em all
in years of darkness

Who Will You Become?
lean in close to kiss the razors
write it all with blood-ink

on the stone wall

He's forced to eat the poisons
forced to rage and wail
no blinders for this process
no easy way to tell
thoughts are thrown into the chasm
they come back flying out from hell

his love may burn alive
but a wild creatures born
and it helps him to survive the beatings
helps him survive the storms
some version of a tortured Cerberus
escaping hell alone
escaping hell alone

a heavy silence disquiets his bones
nobody can catch him

If revenge is your center
then it becomes your only throne

steel tongue savage
marching on the run alone
his veils sliced by ink
spilling wings from out his bones
dragging heavy feelings to the peak

only beneath those dreamy stars
will his heart become released.......

If now and then we encounter pages that explode, pages that wound, sears, tears, groans, and curses, know they came from a man with his back up, a man whose only defenses left are his words, and his w.. more..
