Purpose

Purpose

A Poem by TranscendReality

I fear he needs me

it is said in his

eyes

The painful glory

of silky sweet surmise

Passion seizes me

every pore and purpose

mutilation of the mind

heeds a heavy lie

Robbed by his sight

consuming what is left of me

He meant to come back

I know he meant to stay

Even when I love you

starts to sounds like goodbye

One gentle touch

it could never be enough

After all

it was only your heart on the line

Chained words

we just couldn’t say

Can’t you see I’m fine

as I open my

eyes

Intriguingly edgy joust w/the paradox of desire, need, autonomy. One needs, does not need; desires, does not desire; is autonomous, is not autonomous. Love's not an inter-egoic contract. It transcends reality. ;-)
