love

A Poem by Sibusiso Kotela

Love

Do not love me,
I implore you not to.
For that is sure self annihilation.
And I do not want that for you.

What I do want you to do
Is to love with me, in equality.
To be with me in mutual preservation,
To live as one, unity in two.

So insert yourself in my chaos,
Do not love from outside...
For it is better to be in the eye of a hurricane,
Than in its path.

Yours, in love.
