Prison

Prison

A Poem by Sibusiso Kotela
"

I feel imprisoned by my recent experiences in love.

"
I'm struggling to forget,
Heart defeats reason and summons remembrance,
Beautiful hands, faces filled with blissful expression
Giving life to forgotten experience.
And all since I almost died,
Murder attempted by my own desolate feeling,
Barring thoughts of healing
And bringing forth... You.

Emotion strikes me with a lash of sorrow,
Restraining sight from seeing,
Disabling the morrow.

Now I'm in the rain again,
Hoping it will help ban
These feelings, but not you.

I want to dissolve.

That's my boy. You know a poem is good when it sounds simple but you don't understand a single thing after the first read.
