Until there was you

Until there was you

A Poem by Sbchristie

The hard cold streets of reality.

Broken bottles, that once contained.

Endless dreams. To this place

your footprints have lead me.

The sky moves by. With flames like

fire. Ashes of rebirth, fall all around me.

And I was fine. Trapped in my mind.

in the paradise of white clouds and

everything at my feet.

Until there was you.

And I was okay, with the perfect

sun and the perfect sea.

Until you brought me back, to living.

What is the cost? What is the wager?

I'll trade you my heart for a pair of shoes.

Standing to my feet. In this city of real things.

The glass hurts, to move along.

I'm slowly breaking. And growing whole again.

My hopes burned down to a few embers.

Until there was you.

And I was fine. Trapped in my mind.

In the paradise of white clouds and

everything at my feet. Until there was you.

And I was okay, with the perfect

sun and the perfect sea.

Until you brought me back, to living.

And I was fine. And I was okay.

Until there was you.
