Forever

Forever

A Chapter by Sbchristie

Forever.

We promise to love, live, hate, and remain united for this insane amount of time. But forever never happens, only for some. People like to confuse living forever with a memory. Memories are like mountains, from a distance they remain forever the same. But as the eye approaches the summit, one can see the visible changes taking place. Reshaping the mountain a little at a time.

These are memories. We try to live forever through them. Taking that moment, and holding on to it. Not seeing the stages we pass through in our lives, are slowly changing those memories we waste time holding onto. Then we abandon the idea of making new ones. Watching them pass us by unnoticed. When we sleep, we can't wait to rush back to the dreams fueled by these slightly changing memories. Causing the dreams to change as well.

And when we express these dreams and memories to other people. We begin to feel confident about them. Subconsciously, we are proudly telling a lie and watching it live on forever. While we, unknowingly walk this earth living life, then we die. But memories live on through the words and minds of others. Forever changing. But what if you couldn't die? What if you could live forever?

My name is Allent Bell.

If you saw me passing you by on a busy street, you would see a twenty four year old woman. Just starting out on life. But inside, flowing through my veins is the blood of a woman who is living her second lifetime, and sadly counting. My memories are a cup over flowing. Streaming down the sides and dripping down the sides of my hands. My dreams are coming and going like a breeze through an open window in the summer. It's so hard to speak about them out loud to myself thankfully have one friend, Sammy and my current father figure Ernie. Along with a close knit circle of few who know of my secret.

This is my story. Or what I can remember clearly anyway. As I progressed through life, things have been erased and replaced. All because of one single memory I was too stubborn to let go. Who knew that by eventually letting it go. Things fell apart, and came together all at the same time.

Again please keep it constructive through out the chapters! I love to write but I'm notorious for grammar and word use errors! If you see any kindly let me know! I would like to better myself as a writer and author.
