Never thereA Poem by SbchristieI was feeling beautiful on the day I wrote this. There is that love, which lives in the souls of each and every one of us. I believe, it is given to us, at the very last stage of our creation. And it’s sealed with a kiss by the tender hands of God. But as we grow away from earth, and our heads get closer to the sky, we tend to leave behind that love. That love, for yourself, and everything around you. With no hesitation or caution. We begin to grow into our imperfections, and let them take control. From the boy, who feels he has no goals. To the girl who feels she will look prettier with a new nose. We grow until we fall into a circle of doubt and broken promises. My life? Is a series of mistakes and, note changes in the melody that defines me. I’ve been allowing myself to play those wrong notes. It will take time, to climb down from my high horse of insecurity. And get in touch with the little girl who used to loose herself outside, and always smiled. Even when she wanted or needed to cry. I got to know her for but a short time in my life. Sadly she was snatched away into dark allies, and closets under stairs. But she was never really gone. I just allowed myself to believe she was never there.
