Dying to Fade

Dying to Fade

A Poem by Sbchristie
"

This poem was actually inspired by Bill Kaulitz, lead singer of Tokio Hotel.

"

I am a portrait.

I am a walking work of art, to you.

And I am a god. To you.

Your mind tends to change,

like the night into the day.

When I spill the milk or drop the glass.

While walking this thin line?

Will I ever be good enough?

For You?

The stars, in your sky.

Spend so much time shining.

They die before you can even notice.

Tell me when it's my time to go?

Will you force me to keep glowing?

I am an icon.

A legend.

I'm alive in your fantasy

A stranger to reality.

When my song is over.

And when I leave your stage for the last time.

How will you know me?

The God?

How will you see me?

The portrait?

How will you remember me?

The work of art?

Never knowing the human that lived, in me.
