A Symphony for the Rain - Verse 1

A Symphony for the Rain - Verse 1

A Poem by Sazaku

"The Calm"

"
i. The Calm:

Transcendent melody;
our heartbeats, the harmony.
Winds ever the ominous refrain
of a symphony for the rain.

Flocks divested of their trees
scatter like leaves in a breeze.
Faces frozen behind glass,
scared to breathe til the storm passed.

Ink and ash consume the sky,
screaming out a thunderous cry.
Lucent streaks of lambent might.
Heavens torn by scars of light.

And while the song's just begun
the sun's reign this day is done.
For upon the waves of swelling seas
comes the hour of witching revelry.

Author's Note

Sazaku
Just kind of an interesting concept I had while staring out the window today in class. It wasn't even raining.

I'm a little on the strange side, yes, if that was your next question.
