Gentle Genesis

Gentle Genesis

A Poem by Sazaku
"

Silvery shadows slither across the silent earth, a tangled lattice of tousled raven tresses.

"
Silvery shadows slither across the silent earth,
a tangled lattice of tousled raven tresses.

Concealed within, the loamy land of life's rebirth;
the Mother's verdant cradle, all her careful caresses
bringing forth being from the ashes of extinction.

Drops of nurturing dew, coalesced from feathery mist,
glimmering jewels encrusted upon the tapestry of creation.

Tender seedlings reach for the Sun's nourishing kiss,
fledgling forms unfurling tremulous petals at long last.

Eons of emptiness, spent in desperate hope of a chance
to breathe deep the sweet air and nestle into the grass.
No longer slumbering in infinite black, waiting to dance.

An eternity passed as the whispers of a dream no one knew.
The time has come, magnificent flower; never let us forget you.
