![]() SuspenseA Poem by Sazaku![]() ![]() Blossoms of summer dance along a silky, shifting breeze, a vortex of swirling blood red leaves. Never quite still. Above, the moon hangs like a pearl, cupped in the outstretched palm of the silvery, wispy clouds that engulf the sky. Dancing lithely through the mist. Halos of lunar radiance shimmer like gilded crowns from the very tips of their spears and shields, held high and waiting. Never once moving. Here I am just watching as despair spreads like the plague through their hearts their eyes drawn forcefully upwards by the sudden motion. Praying in silent harmony. Collectively, nothing as if the whole world reached the apex of a deep breath teetering on the razor's edge of suffocation and gluttony. Then the dragon's fire devoured them all.
