Blink Of An EyeA Poem by Saz DavisSomething I wrote a while ago that I found again the other day and, after a little revising, I kind of enjoy.
They say worlds collide overnight
The rapture happens in the blink of an eye And when you hear those trumpets, run If one could judge then maybe he holds a grudge When the doubts all form as one Would it make itself a god of its own? And if the b******s serve as the kings Why are thieves and such put lower than me? I don't breath alone Down here we all float I could take these guys I could take you anywhere Plug me into the ground Tie my arms with roots 'til I'm bound I could take this god I could Take you anywhere © 2016 Saz Davis |
