A Team

A Team

A Poem by Sayonara

Two or more people make a team.
A bond of trust.
So it would seem.
Back to back we fight the enemy.
Only your comfort seems so empty.
Friendly fire doesn't count in this tag team battle.
This hole in my back is to much to handle.
Friends can turn on on another so easily.
Family is just as shady.
I don't trust none of them.
Can you blame me?
This is a battle for love and survival.
And you were the only on I could rely on.
Blood rushes down my back.
The pain is strong.
This is a fact.
Words of apology flys through my ears.
It means nothing.
I've heard them for many years.
I'm too strong for tears.
I'm too strong to scream.
But this hole in my back is to much for me.
Never expect anything from others.
Because when it comes down to it.
Everyone has their true colors.
