Center-land:an Infinite Continuum

Center-land:an Infinite Continuum

A Poem by sayandeep kundu
"

Center of divine...

"
Clenching your fist, devouring the feast
You mourn for the street tailor to your east
While the sun sinks to your west
A whir of the machine from his nest
And you move to your west
with your clenched fist
Only to rediscover-
You are the center of divine
Where all his shadows rest.....

This is mystical almost beyond analysis, and it rather has the feeling of a prayer to some example of God. I will not deign to attempt to delve into the meaning of this poem, but I will say that it has an aura and an abstract power all its own. The interpretation of what is being conveyed here seems more open to the individual, just like a biblical or spiritual mantra. In fact, I feel there is a real sense of there being an inspiration divined from something of that very nature.
This is a fascinating little riddle that -far from merely bemusing the reader with complexity- suggests through its language and spirit something deeper and beguiling. And as a poem it is very good.
