Divine SacraficeA Poem by Jinx's HeartUltimate miracle of creation, which blesses us so deeply, Thus divine presence of our flesh and blood lay upon my
breast, As your delicate fingers grasp my hair as you rest so
sweetly. Oh, hear my heart beat for you, darling, love as you rest. Your eyes gaze up to meet mine As I can see your absolute optimism To a world who needs a brilliant mind, Who can provide much needed altruism. Your five tiny fingers wraps around my much larger
forefinger As I watch you examine my hair that rests beside you. Again your brilliant, innocent blue eyes catch my thoughts
linger, But only of you, dear, sweet, gift of God; it is true. You give a tiny sneeze from my golden curls, Which tickled your petite nose. To you my heart just jumps and lovingly unfurls Bountiful love that no one can see or know. Your thoughts of radiance and devotion Absorb your world one last moment As you drift off listening to the motion Of my heart beating for you, so content. You fall into a silent sleep, Still holding onto my forefinger Squeezing it, for yours to keep. I wonder where your dreams linger? Tiny miracle, I hold in my arms, Fades just as quickly as he finds slumber, I awake to cold, empty arms, Reminding me of my dreams, sunken under. I remember now. I was given this struggle, to learn and gain insight. If I only knew how" How, through this sacrifice, I may find the light? © 2010 Jinx's HeartReviews
