The destruction of a perfectly imperfect masterpiece

When you love you start off with a blank canvas and with each obstacle you overcome, laugh you share and moment together you paint your own masterpiece . You get what you put into it. When/if things go wrong you're not necessarily ripping it into pieces nor deeming it garbage. Rather sometimes it's as if someone continuously dips their careless hands into black paint and keeps splashing the excess paint at your artwork, colliding with the lively strokes and colors you have invested. Though differences have been made: beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so be it you eventually see it as complementary. The new additions are considered white noise. Problem is if it continues to happen it will no longer be your original piece. 

Eventually it is safe to take it down and replace it with new art.

Figuratively so; the canvas is a new relationship that is made into beautiful artwork (a bond) that an outsider easily ruins without realizing the time/effort invested nor the value to the artist.
