life of loss

losing ones self

we lose

friends we once had

clothes we once wore

lovers we once loved

we lose

battles we fought

arguments we put forth

           and

our sense of direction

we lose a lot of things 

but the most important thing we lose

  is our mind

 and sadly sometimes 

even ourselves
