Dear Friend

A lot of my friends are going through rough times at the moment, so I wrote this poem for them. I want them to know that I love them all very much. Guys, if you ever feel bad, you're not alone, I promise.

My dearest friend, you've given the clues,

And now I must know what is troubling you,

 

You are not alone in your pain,

You must realize that this is all in your own brain,

 

You promised that you would never tell another living soul,

But there are still some things that must be told,

 

I don't want to hear the latest gossip,

I don't want to know how you messed up,

 

I just want my dear friend to hurt no more,

And go back to how they were before,

 

Sometimes it's better to tell someone else,

And maybe they'll understand how you've felt,

 

I know that it's a cliche  way  to explain,

But it truly does take away the pain,

 

My mouth is locked, my ears are open,

And only you have the key to allow these words to be spoken,

 

Never will I betray a friend,

Because that would surely bring the end,

 

Information is a powerful thing,

And no one knows of the true hurt that it can bring,

 

I may be the last person you would trust,

But this feeling tells you that you must,

 

My dear friend, don't be afraid to tell,

If you don't then there will be hell,

 

Save your soul from all the pain,

And feel the joy that your friends can bring.
