Tragically, A Poetic Death

Tragically, A Poetic Death

A Poem by Savannah Bly
"

Wouldn't that be?

"
Tragically, A Poetic Death
I can't imagine
Not being able to read
Or to see words on a page
And form pictures in my mind
Because it's beautiful and poetic
I can't imagine
Not being able to write
To see my words written in real time
And to watch pen bleed against paper
Because it's beautiful and poetic
I can't imagine
Not being able to breathe
Losing these two parts of myself
I'd be a suffocating poet imprisoned in mind and soul
Wouldn't that be, tragically, a poetic death?

This one is sad, Savannah. We all grow old with time. I pray I will still be able to read and write until they close my eyes and pull the sheets over my head. I like the metaphor of breathing as to writing, because for a writer, it is the truth. Nice write, my friend!

Strangely calm. I don't know why, but this piece conveys sort of a comforting feeling to me. Great writing! :)

Don't die with your music and your words still in you as Wayne Dyer would say. Nice poem.

Your very welcome :)
I think if a poet couldn't write or read they would die so yes it would be a poetic death very well done and I think none of us would be able to live if we couldn't read or write

Haha. Very true i for certain would go mad
i couldn't imagine my mind being imprisoned, and losing those two privileges ....yes, can't imagine, that would be more tragic than being put to death literally.
