Staring At The Empty ChairsA Poem by Savannah BlyStaring At The Empty Chairs At the table Where friends once gathered But I am alone Staring at the empty chairs Why do the chairs feel empty Like they can hold my thoughts But choose to remain vacant As if I am not there To think Or be As if nothing ever existed here Nothing ever happened Not that we were never here But we never existed ourselves It's all empty Dead silent Only space exists Empty space From empty chairs
