Nature In CaptivityA Poem by Savannah BlyNature is in constant captivity.Nature In Captivity A breezy, soft mist of
rain fills the air Sweet air no one cares
to breathe in Yet all wildlife awakens
Breathing it in Nature’s creatures are
ready to live Birds start humming
quietly The trees and leaves briskly
moving With the coldness of
the whistling wind As rivers flow rapidly
through the forest Noise that together
makes The forest more alive This is a habitat A home Beautiful Everything seems calm Though it is screaming
alive Roaring dangerous Sounds of nature
fighting to survive I am moving Fighting with it, for
it Screaming danger Fighting for nature Hopefully wishing
everyday Of nature lasting Just have hope they say While they carry torches
and saws And weapons But what good is hope
now? As nature Endlessly is Captive under human
