Field Of Discovery

Field Of Discovery

A Poem by Savannah Bly

Field of Discovery

In the field, the air ignites my senses

It releases the unidentified tension

Haunting my brain

To distinguish between nature and myself

Is to dent my identity

The disturbing forces of humanity hold me back

Into a state of imprisonment

Retrospectively we say that we are free

My soul is free in the field

In which I have discovered
