Forest ParkA Poem by Savannah BlyWhy it is special to me.Forest Park My daddy loved kids That I know for sure That’s why forest park Is a safe haven I haven’t been there In a long time But I imagine being there All the time It is the biggest park I’d seen With all the cool toys They had trails to walk It was fun to go on Halloween Because they decorated it One trail is special And holds a treasure dear I go there a lot And try to find it I go off the path And through The bushes and thorns The treasure is small Where is it? I wish to find it, to hold it I think of the fire I never saw I’d never want to see Where is my treasure? I will never find it But I know it’s there Buried and mixed in My father’s ashes and ring © 2014 Savannah BlyReviews
