Clock ticksA Poem by Fernando DardónAnd I saw your face Decorated with that lovely smile It spread light to the place Where I stood still, immobile. Took a long infinite instant Took some out of my brain I found my words resistant My mouth was shut again. And as night embraces light Your kindness swallowed me And I felt everything alright A little bit of me felt free. Then the clock made some ticks And damn those ticks were eternal They all were a bunch of freaks that made my nights infernal. Infernal thinking ticks filled of you Of your scent, your tears and laugh Of feelings I had no clue that made of my songs a cruel epitaph If I only, had clue, of what's inside you what your heart sees and what you feel If only my guitar could sound through and through my chords let your soul heal. ... © 2016 Fernando DardónAuthor's Note
