Don't think I'm away

Don't think I'm away

A Poem by Fernando Dardón
"

Looking at my publications,I saw this poem.I didn't remember what it talked about, then I realized It wasn't what I expected,so I decided to finish it Hope you like it,and that you feel what felt :)

"
I hear your sobbing,
I hear you saying things,
that time is not your friend,
that life left you alone, running

Running for a finished race,
but still an unfinished track
lies right in front of you,
as long as your dreams are.

I've seen you sitting on the coach
a cup of coffee on the table
and the pen doing his job,
writing something memorable.

And I imagine their faces
as they get to read your soul.
But even our souls have secrets,
Humans are made of the unknown

But I know the soul of my love,
the one that I used to own,
so many springs behind
when my soul was all your own.

And those tiny tears,
rolling down delicate skin,
As silk from the outside,
As stone from the inside.

But your strength is your sword
And your crying your wounds,
made when I left this world,
I don't want to be your doom.

So please, don't look at your photographs
leaving you to vanish in the past
You gotta read my paragraphs
Without feeling any suffering at last

Let yourself feel the music
when you listen to my tracks
Don't let your ears stare at the lyrics
If your heart doesn't feels it at all.

So take my guitar if you want to,
don't be afraid to get it broken.
Don't you remember when I told you to
play it with your heart wide open.

Because if you let the strings sound
as it was me the one whose playing
You'll have the strength to stand another round
and get off the ground, to keep walking.

Don't think I'm away,
When you read my poems crying
Think it's me, in a delicate way
telling how I love you darling.

Don't think you're alone
I'll be watching you from here
taking care of you, as you go on.
I'll be always with you, everywhere...

Just for the record, I inspired this poem on a character's feelings of the book I'm writing: Esther. Hope you had enjoyed it, as I did writing it. :)

when people read us they do read our souls....and those dreams we strive for often are at the end of unpaved roads....so are we willing to take that bumpy ride through the overgrowth? i wonder.

nice writing here.
