You better don't

You better don't

A Poem by Fernando Dardón

Don't say that tomorrow the Sun will shine again
'Cause you know it won't
Don't say you've left the past away
you haven't

Please, don't say that the river flows to the mountain,
don't say that rain rises from the ground
don't say that you can breathe under the water
don't say that people is truly honest
don't say that there are blue flowers
'Cause there aren't.

More rational was the crazy,
brighter was the darkness,
louder was the voiceless,
more delicate the bombs
with which you destroyed me

dismiss of your words
Think back again

Don't say it was worth it!
'Cause, to say to keep it alive
is like trying to catch the wind.

Don't, don't say that you didn't do anything
cause everything you did was my ruin.

Don't, you better don't

I love the way your capital letters undermine the lower cased lines below them. It highlights the most important pieces in a way that speaks to the reader yet does not take away from the significance of the smaller parts. Great read!
