Through Your Eyes

Through Your Eyes

A Poem by Jeannette Ford

I really don't see why

You try and hide

Who you really are inside

When it is like living a lie.

You create a mask

To hide you feelings

But it only holds you back

From your true task.

You don't see who you are

Because you are looking

Through your eyes

And all you see is the scars.

But take a look through ours

And what we see

When we look at you

Is a shining star.
