Question In Existance

Question In Existance

A Poem by Savannah2456
"

This is a free verse about the nature of men I guess you could call it.

"
Is there really such a thing as good or bad
When we all murder, cheat, and steal
Why must we turn our backs
On people who call the street a home
If we where made from love, then why is there so much hate
Plaguing our hopes, dreams, and desires
Materials mean nothing if we do not care
Wasting away are our brothers and sisters
While we are strong and able
For these reasons lives have been lost
Pointless bloodshed is upon us
Help others to heal
From the pain of life

There's a song for you. I like your content. You have the heart of a poet, keep writing.
Fifth line down, third word in, is that supposed to be "were".

Hello, thank you for reviewing. I have to your these on my phone and it sometimes "corrects" me.
I love this poem, its insightful and very philosophical. We have allot of things we do that are contrary to what its origin meant it to be. Good and evil. life and death. The crux that impales the weariest of souls. Excellent job!

Always :) I love your work
I agree with SquinklaPsyOps, "if we where made from love, then why is there so much hate Plaguing our hopes, dreams, and desires" is a brilliant line. It is not enough to retain love and kindness as mental process only, we must also act it out physically. Excellent and insightful poem.

Thank you for reviewing!
It truly is an interesting poem, the answer could be with so many persons wanting to have their way they might all be pulling in different directions and that is what might be causing it. The answer is always the beginning of why all things were created

This part of the poem is interesting "If we where made from love, then why is there so much hate Plaguing our hopes, dreams, and desires" and "Why must we turn our backs On people who call the street a home" is interesting because most people are under the impression that they deserve a hand from above to help them and at the same time if they see a homeless person on the street they turn the other way.

Thanks for reviewing! Yes, it really makes me sad that we must do that to our own kind.
